Finance Manager

An Irish business in the transportation space is looking to hire a Finance Manager. This is a brand new role for the business as they enter a high-growth phase.

This role will offer a clear path to progression as they seek someone looking to step into a financial controller role over time.

In this key role, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance. You will work closely with senior management, offering financial insights to support operational decision-making, optimise profitability, and enhance efficiency within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, lease agreements, and cost controls.

• Provide valuable financial insights for pricing strategies, route profitability, fleet investment, and other key business decisions.
• Assess financial risks and opportunities to support business strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• At least 5 years' experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the transport, logistics, or operations sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

Salary/Remuneration

Strong base salary and package attached.
